The workshop will soon be open for volunteers to get involve with building the second St Ayles skiff in Portobello and restoring the single man 1930s rowing boat donated by the Morrison brothers of Portobello.

The workshop is behind Kwikfit on Fishwives Causeway, next to Verdant Studios - map here. Bring your own gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses and masks; tools will be provided.
We've built Icebreaker, a five person rowing boat, for everyone in Portobello to row for recreation, exercise and racing.
Icebreaker is a St Ayles Skiff, designed by internationally renowned small boat designer Iain Oughtred for the Scottish Coastal Rowing Project. She's part of a fleet of skiffs around Scotland and beyond.
Rowporty is a project of the Portobello Sailing & Kayaking Club. Owned on behalf of the community by PS&KC, the boat(s) will be kept safely in the boat park on the Prom at the foot of Bath Street.
We've been awarded Heritage Lottery Funding for a second community built Skiff.
