Coastal Rowing coming to Musselburgh

Sitting between probably the two strongest Coastal Rowing clubs in the country, there is now a move afoot to start a Club at Musselburgh and Fisherrow.

They are currently hunting for somewhere to build, people to help build, fundraise, and eventually of course to row.

If you live in the area and want to get involved, please get in touch with Quintin Pink by email, or on 0131 665 3595.

It will be good to see a renaissance of Coastal Rowing at Fisherrow.

Alec Jordan

Exciting to learn that we'll have another club just 30 minutes row from Portobello. More fun on the water!

And nice that Alec thinks we're one of the strongest clubs in the country!

We are rowporty!

We've built Icebreaker & Jenny Skylark, two five person rowing boats, for everyone in Portobello to row for recreation, exercise and racing.

The boats are St Ayles Skiffs, designed by internationally renowned small boat designer Iain Oughtred for the Scottish Coastal Rowing Project. She's part of a fleet of skiffs around Scotland and beyond.

Rowporty is a project of the Portobello Sailing & Kayaking Club. Owned on behalf of the community by PS&KC, the boats are kept in the boat park on the Prom at the foot of Bath Street. We row off Portobello beach and take the boats to regattas across Scotland.

We'd love to have you on board! Click here to get started!
